Hospitals & Health Care services are important elements of any well-ordered and humane society, and will indisputably would play key role in nurturing the society. That hospital should be places of safety, not only for patients but also for the staff and for the general public, is of the greatest importance. Quality of hospitals and healthcare services is also of great interest to many other bodies, including governments, NGOs targeting healthcare and social welfare, associations of doctors and patents, medical insurance companies, shareholders of companies providing healthcare services, etc.
How quality is maintained and improved in hospitals and healthcare services is an intensely discussed topic at International Forum. Hospital surveying and accreditation is one recognized means by which this can be achieved.
Fundamentally healthcare and hospital accreditation is about improving how care is delivered to patients and the quality of the care they receive.
As the International division of Joint Commission Resources, Joint Commission International (JCI) has been working with health care organizations, ministries of health, and global organizations in over 80 countries.
Its focus is on improving the safety of patient care through the provision of accreditation and certification services aimed at helping organizations implement practical and sustainable solutions.
JCI surveys the performance of health care organizations to assess that they meet the highest international benchmarks for accreditation entities.
The JCI accreditation standards are broken into two groups; those related to patient care, e.g., assessment, medication management, education, etc. and those related to organizational structures, e.g., leadership, facility management, information management, human resources, etc
Benefits of JCI Accreditation
- Create a culture of safety and quality within an organization that strives to continually improve patient care processes and results. In doing so, organizations:
- Improve public trust that the organization is concerned for patient safety and quality of care
- listen to patients and their families, respect their rights, and involve them in the care process as partners
- Provide confidence to patients of Europe and American subcontinents for medical tourism.
- It results in a consistent protection of rights of patients and medical ethics.
- It stimulates continuous improvement and enables a hospital to demonstrate commitment to quality care.
What we provide:
- Baseline evaluation or “Gap Survey” to determine, where the organization is currently not meeting accreditation standards. Although it is a mock survey, but we use the same techniques and methodology as used by JCI Surveyors.
- Action planning on gaps identified and achieving compliance to requirements of standards.
- Quality Management System documentation workshop and facilitation of documentation.
- Implementation surveys.
- Corrective and preventive action planning and implementation.
- Mock surveys before NABH Auditors come for assessment.
